Our Staff - Exeter
Roger Pym - Company Director
Roger joined Devon Camera in 1972, with over 40 years experience in the trade there's not a whole lot that Roger doesn't know about cameras. Starting off as a sales adviser Roger worked his way up through the ranks to be the head honcho.
To try and list Rogers gear would require an entire page to itself! Having tired of carrying around a lot of cameras and heavy lenses Roger now primarily shoots with a Sony SLT-A33 (current model Sony Alpha SLT-A37) and the superb compact fuji finepix X-10.
If you need to track down anything over the past forty years Roger is your man and scarily he remembers it all!
Pieter Gatehouse - Manager.
Pieter Joined Devon Camera in April 2010. A career in forensic imaging with Strathclyde Police, running a design agency in Glasgow and managing a TV production company have armed Pieter with a broad knowledge of imaging in general.
Pieter has a passion for photography, creating 360 panoramas, stills and moving images. A man with confirmed Gear Acquisition Syndrome he owns a load of camera gear. Currently using a mixture of film and digital Pieter uses: Sony A77 + grip with the lovely 16-50 f2.8, Nikon D300 + Sigma 8mm (for panoramas), Olympus OM2n - with three lovely prime lenses, Olympus OM1n, Olympus 35 SP rangefinder with a lovely fixed 42mm f1.7 lens, Sony HX5V (older HX10V) compact camera and a few lenses for the digitals.
If you have any enquiries realted to Sony and Nikon Piete is your man.
Graeme Ruddick - Sales Adviser
Graeme has been with Devon Camera for 14 years and is our second longest serving member of staff. Graeme has spent most of his working life in the industry, starting his long and illustrious career in Scotland and continuing in Devon after marrying an Exeter girl.
A keen amateur for many years Graeme has used nearly every camera under the sun. With a strong knowledge of film cameras Graeme can pretty much tell you every camera and its battery from the 1980's on! Having recently traded all his DSLR equipment in for a cracking little Nikon P500 (older version of the P510) Graeme is looking now to purchase a DSLR which will probably be the Sony A57.
So any questions on film, batteries or bridge cameras Graeme is your man.
Dave Kerry - Sales Adviser/Web Guy.
Dave is another long term member of staff joining DCC in 1999. Dave has an almost photographic memory for numbers and parts, he is our bible of knowledge.
If you need a part he is your man.
Dave is a recent convert to digital imaging as he spends most of his spare time in the virtual world. He recently found the answer to his camera prayers with the Sony NEX-5, being compact and fully featured it was the perfect fit for a man who doesn't like heavy bags!
Jack Breadmore - Sales Adviser (The Student)
Jack is the newest addition to the DCC crew joining us this Summer. A part-timer who will be coming back this Winter after his first term at Falmouth University.
Jack is an assistant for a local wedding photographer and has an interest in wildlife photography amongst other things. Currently shooting a Nikon D800 that has taken all his earnings from this Summer!
If you need any Nikon advice or some spots to shoot wildlife Jack is your man.
Our Staff - Exmouth

Dave G has been with Devon Camera since 2001 and is our main man in Exmouth. Dave is a confirmed wildlife man and has a lovley portfolio of images from the natural world. You'll often find him camera and binoculars in hand, walking around the beautiful countryside surrounding Exmouth.
