The TriBalance is the same shape and size as Lastolite's popular TriGrip. It has one black/white/grey side which allows you to custom white balance for calibrated colours and select the best exposure for all tones pre-capture, or to adjust for shadows, highlights or mid-tones as required post capture.The reverse side of the TriBalance is a Lastolite silver reflector for filling in those shadows with just a flick of the wrist.

White Balancing the Camera

The Ezybalance, XpoBalance and Tribalance all feature a unique focusing target to enable the camera to focus on the card and take the necessary readings for an accurate white balance setting. Many cameras struggle to actually focus on a plain white or grey area.

Post Capture - Exposure and Colour Balancing

The EzyBalance, XpoBalance and TriBalance can also be used as an accurate reference point for post capture manipulation in Adobe Photoshop® (and other software packages). All you need to do is take the first shot with the card in the photograph each time you shoot in a different lighting situation.

Post Capture - Exposure and Colour Balancing Effects Due to the multiple surfaces on the XpoBalance and TriBalance, these cards can be used to create some interesting 'instant' effects as well as the features already mentioned. The TriBalance has the added benefit of a reflective silver surface on the other side so it can also be used as a traditional reflector.
